Stripy Horse Signed Story

SignedStoriesLRWhere has the Spring gone? We’ll all have to stay wrapped up warm and toasty for Easter!

Some more news: the first Stripy Horse picture book story is now available to watch and listen to at the ‘Signed Stories’ website here.

Beautifully read by Imelda Staunton and brilliantly signed by Khalid Ashraf, we’re hugely happy that they chose one of our books.

There are loads of other great stories available on the website too, so do have a look if you can…

Hello to Northwold!

What a great time we had at Northwold Primary last week! All the children had been busy making masks, so when we arrived we found a school full of lovely Stripy Horses. Here are just a few of them… fantastic!

Thank you ‘clip clops’ to Literacy Co-ordinator, Katherine Blackman and Head Teacher, Alison Kriel for inviting us along, and for everyone there who made our day so special. As well as masks, there were lots of imaginative stories for us to read and some very colourful pictures. One of the teachers had even drawn an extra-large Stripy Horse, here it is below, Karen was super impressed!

It’s been a busy couple of months for us and we have lots to tell you about over the next few posts.

But first of all it’s World Book Day this week and we’re looking forward to visiting Northwold Primary School in Clapton on Friday… we’ll put up some pictures after our trip!

Sandgate Primary Stripy Visit

A big wave to everyone at Sandgate Primary School in Folkestone! Thanks to everyone there who made our visit so special, especially Hayley Richley for organising everything so perfectly. Thank you Hayley!

We’d also like to say hello to one of the teachers that we didn’t get to meet, who made this amazing, larger-than-life-size, papier mache Stripy Horse. WOW! Have you ever seen anything like it?!

Here are just a few of the super, stripy drawings we saw on our visit:

…there were some magnificent, monster tomato plants hanging from the ceiling too:

And here’s Jim in the school’s very own special bric-a-brac shop. Can you spot Stripy Horse?

We hope you’re all enjoying your half term holiday now and getting ready for pumpkins and bonfires. Don’t forget to wrap up warm!

Stripy Olympics!

Goodness me, it’s hot out there today! We’ve been enjoying the Olympics on tv, but Stripy Horse made it into the stadium. Here he is doing the Bolt! Unfortunately, his arms weren’t quite long enough for the Mobot…

Stripy Horse – My Little Library

We’re really excited because we’ve just received first samples of the gorgeous new Stripy Horse Little Library! Here are a few sneaky peak pictures…

In each of the mini block books you can dance along with Stripy Horse, twist and shake with Roly and Pitch, fly away with Muriel or follow Hermann’s trusty nose… And after you’ve read the books you can stack them like building blocks or put them together to make a little jigsaw on the back! We love it!

Stripy horse mini books

The little library is published in July- not long now!
